COVID-19 – notes from the San Diego City Press Conference dated afternoon of 3/24 which made reference to many of the resources available to employees as well as employers.

Sdfoundation.org/covid They have raised over $6,000,000 and have started delivering grants for items such as food, utilities, income replacement and gap funding. To donate or apply, go to this link.

From the STATE OF CALIFORNIA-
If you have contracted covid-19 or were exposed you can apply for a STATE DISABILITY CLAIM

If you are caring for someone who is sick or Quarantined- You can apply for PAID FAMILY LEAVE CLAIM

If your hours have been reduced or been closed down you can apply for UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE which will provide partial wage replacement with benefits to workers.
If you feel you have been misclassified as a 1099 employee, you may still be eligible and are encouraged to apply.

Small businesses and non profits can apply for SBA Econonic Impact disaster loan programs at SBA.gov
